Ingredients

  • Proso millet idli rawa – 2 cups

Preparation Method

  2. Drain the water and grind into a smooth batter.
  3. Keep aside.
  4. Simultaneously, soak proso millet idli rawa in water for 30 minutes.

Step 2: Mixing & Fermentation

  1. Add soaked millet rawa to the urad dal batter.
  2. Mix well to form a thick batter.
  3. Cover and allow it to ferment overnight.

Step 3: Steaming

  1. After fermentation, add salt and mix gently.
  2. Grease idli moulds with oil.
  3. Pour the batter into the moulds.
  4. Steam in an idli cooker for 10–15 minutes.

Step 4: Serve

  1. Remove idlis and serve hot.
