Preparation Method

Step 1: Prepare Sugar Syrup

  1. In a pan, boil water, sugar, and ghee together until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Turn off the flame and let it cool slightly.

Step 2: Prepare Dough

  1. Add proso millet rawa and maida to the sugar mixture.
  2. Add milk as required and knead into a soft, pliable dough.

Step 3: Rolling & Cutting

  1. Divide the dough into equal portions.
  2. Roll each portion into a sheet about ¼ inch thick (like chapati).
  3. Cut into diamond-shaped pieces using a knife or cutter.
  4. Separate the pieces and place them on a dry cloth for 15–20 minutes.

Step 4: Frying

  1. Heat oil in a deep pan on low flame.
  2. Deep fry the pieces in batches until they turn light golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove and drain excess oil.

Step 5: Storage & Serve

  1. Allow them to cool completely.
  2. Store in an airtight container.
  3. Serve as a crunchy snack.
